El partido se perdió en emotividad, pero siguió siendo controlado por los Pumitas, dos tries más dejaron el score en los primeros cuarenta 25–7, debido a que los canadienses a fuerza y corazón lograron descontar a través de su wing Pill Mack.

El complemento arrancó otra vez con los pumas buscando el resultado, algunos cambios permitieron darle aire al equipo, que terminó arrasando con su rival al marcar seis tries.

Canadá sintió el cansancio y el rigor de los jugadores locales, que sumado al aliento del público se hicieron por momentos imparables. En primera instancia, otro de los grandes jugadores de la tarde Francisco Albarracín, luego de una avivada al mejor estilo Pichot, apoyó debajo de los postes sumando 5 más.

Luego llegaría el turno de marcar de Carizza y Bustos Moyano. Y quedaría tiempo para más, en el momento en que Canadá no podía seguir frenando la oleada de ataques Argentinos, aparecieron Agustín Creevy, Roldán Verges y Horacio Agulla, para terminar el partido y desatar la alegría en un colmado Liceo RC.

Fue victoria 65–7; que permitió darle tranquilidad al equipo, probar algunos jugadores, y preparase mentalmente para lo que será el encuentro del Lunes, que sin duda para los Pumitas será el partido del Año.

Facing an amazing audience, the Argentine team, headed by the technical pair Fernández Gill-Viazzo, overcame both the nervousness of the opening match and the Canadian team.

The match began with the field in the local’s favour, who attacked their rivals all throughout the field. In this way and during the first minutes of the encounter, Argentina could have the advantage over Canada .First, with a penalty kicked by Santiago Bottini, and then, with a try scored by Roan.

Gonzalo García, faithful to his province, was cheered by the public after scoring an outstanding try.

Though not so emotionally, the game continued being handled by local team. Two more tries and a Canadian try scored by the wing Pill Mack led the score 25-7 by the end of the first half.

In the second half the Argentines had the same attitude and, with the help of some changes, could score six more tries.

Canada felt the tiredness and the locals’ harshness, which was accompanied by the public’s encouragement. Francisco Albarracín, another great figure of the match, scored five more points with the best Pichot’s style.

Latter, came the turn to score to Carizza and Bustos Moyano and, the performance of Agustín Creevy, Roldán Verges and Horacio Agulla, gave an extraordinary ending to the game against a helpless Canada.

The final score, which was 65-7gave confidence to the team. It also helped to try some players and to be mentally prepared for next Monday’s match against Australia, which will definitely be ¨the¨ game of the year for our Pumitas.
